Teradyne Project Manager - Robotic Application in Connecticut

The MiR team is looking for a highly motivated and strategic Project Manager - Robotic Application who will work collaboratively with the team as well as a sole contributor to deliver imaginative, thorough, and practical leadership in support of application projects.

** This is a remote position. Our candidate will preferably live in the US and within an hour from a major airport.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and monitor project work while aligning with MiR distribution and integration partners through end-customer acceptance

  • Escalation of critical issues that are outside the control of the project team and ownership of the process to drive outcomes and rapid resolution

  • Work collaboratively with Partners and MiR Account, Technical and Support teams in pre-sales evaluation and solutioning for end-customer application requirements and RFP (Request for Proposal) efforts

  • Create detailed Request for Quotation (RFQ) Packages in order to solicit contractor bids for services including integration

  • Lead evaluation of 3rd party contractor bids and participation in selection

  • Provide expert level application project support and guide distributors, integrators, and end-customers to successfully integrate, deploy, and commission MiR products and solutions.

  • Lead aspects of project financial planning, monitoring, reporting, scheduling and preparation of technical information as required for program/project planning

  • Lead application design review process for assigned accounts engaging the team to ensure thorough analysis, completion of Application Design Report and presentation of findings/recommendations to customers

  • Develop and sustain project related documentation consistent with MiR Application Project Project Guidelines - Project Workbook incorporating dashboard reporting, risk planning, schedule, open Issues tracking, change control/tracker and lessons learned, etc,

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years experience leading technical projects in commercial engagements from pre-sales through customer acceptantance

  • 3+ years experience in industrial robotics or automation industry with integration experience preferred

  • Experience with AGV or AMR systems is a strong plus

  • Experience in technical, commercial and customer relationship management roles.

  • Familiarity with project financial management, controls, estimation

  • Enjoys complex problem-solving and collaboration and skills to lead and drive complex decisions using a systematic approach.

  • Experience influencing and directing without direct authority.

  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline, is required (or equivalent experience)

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred

5+ years of Technical Project Management experience is required
