Duties & Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional team that develops system and board level cooling solutions for automated test equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing thermal experiments on PC boards to verify cooling designs, design of appropriate heat-sink solutions, design and execute verification plans to ensure successful integration into the product.

  • You may be designing/building mockups and test sections for wind-tunnel evaluation.

  • You may work with liquid piping, cooling and pumping systems as well as sheet metal and machined part design.

  • Excellent hands-on, communication and team work skills required.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:


  • Working toward a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Junior or senior status required

  • GPA of 3.2 or greater

Required Skills

  • Will have successfully completed heat transfer and fluid dynamics I prior to co-op

  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Related engineering experience or co-op work a plus

Co-op time period is for Summer-Fall 2019
