Teradyne Test Technician in Luzhu Dist., Taiwan

Duties / Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

  • Perform visual inspection to ensure units has been in conformance with the assembly procedures.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and quality repair of defective boards.

  • He/ She is likewise expected to Inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot test systems and equipment for any issues that will impacts yield.

  • Run the full testing procedures of Teradyne instruments based on the define procedure. Doing so will include activities such as (but not limited to) installing assemblies into HLA (High Level Assembly), connecting/disconnecting interface cables, DIBs, and other necessary fixtures/cables, then loading and running the correct automated test program.

  • Run several defined specific steps to properly fix the assemblies performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Works with the Test Engineer in process requirements, quality improvements, reliability issues, as well as meeting repair goals.

  • Perform Other process needed such as Chronicles, Board watch, Merlin, Gandalf, Oracle, and Teamcenter.

  • Perform timely preventive maintenance.

  • Perform Product Receiving (physical vs. invoice checking), Packing, and Shipping Procedure.

  • Perform good board shipment process before sending to 3PL (3rd Party Logistics).

  • Can support Field or Customer Requirements: On-site repair and System installation.

    Education / Training / Skills / Experience Required:

  • Candidate must have a Vocational Diploma in Electronics or equivalent, BS Industrial Technology major in Electronics or equivalent, or any related course. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair.

  • Must have good manual dexterity to perform mechanical assembly and wire harnessing.

  • Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage.

  • Experience in electronics repair operations and knowledgeable in handling Electrostatic Device (ESD) sensitive devices is an advantage.

  • Proficient in computer operation, MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, etc.), and familiarity with internet-based program navigation, with ability to generate and interpret computer data.

  • Goal and results-oriented, assertive, and hardworking.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write in Chinese and English.
