Organization & Role

The Teradyne SEG Field Applications team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, driven Field Application Engineer - RF Specialist who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high performance RF and mixed-signal test solutions on our semiconductor test platforms

  • Support the Sales team with strong and creative RF applications concepts

  • Prepare and conduct demonstrations to prospective customers

  • Participate and present in industry events and conferences

  • Contribute and publish technical articles in industry journals

  • Work with the HW design team to ensure requirements are addressed and technical specifications canbe met in the final solution

  • Strive to meet or exceed project requirements and ensure timely escalation as needed

  • Conduct customer training classes

Basic Qualifications & Skills

Solid understanding and practical experience on:

  • Sampling Theory

  • Spectral Analysis

  • Intermodulation Tests ( IP2, IP3 )

  • Noise Figure, Friis equation

  • Phase noise test

  • Wireless standards testing using VSA

  • 2-port S Parameter testing

  • Hardware De-embedding

  • mm-Wave knowledge beneficial

  • Desire to build trustful relationships with key customers

  • Track record of timely and successful project execution

  • Must be able to work well in a team

  • Available for international travel (30%)

  • Fluent in English

Education

  • Degree in electronics engineering with special interest in RF test techniques

  • 3+ years of industry experience, applying RF knowledge
