Teradyne is looking for an experienced AI engineer to join a dynamic, engaging and collaborative team to help shape our AI strategy and participate in developing many AI driven solutions for our future products and support internal engineering teams within the Semiconductor Test division. A primary part of the job will require you to design, implement, and test the solutions identified within a team setting.

Responsibilities

Working with a cross-functional team to understand the company’s goals and challenges to propose AI solutions that can be developed to ultimately stimulate business growth. Stay current with developments in the AI field to keep the company informed of new opportunities.

Conduct research and develop prototypes to further the company’s AI strategy.

Implement AI solutions within a team while also providing technical oversight for new and ongoing AI projects.

3+ years of experience in any of the following areas:

• Building and deploying software solutions using ML models in production environments

• ML model performance evaluation

• Python programming

• Object-Oriented Design, design principles, and software data structures.

1+ years of experience in the following areas:

• Prompt engineering

• Fine-tuning LLMs (Large Language Model) or other models

• Github and Github Actions

• Cloud environments, specifically Azure, Azure AI Services, and Azure DevOps.

You can clearly express your ideas, concepts, and experimental results both verbally and in writing.

Willingness to work with globally distributed teams, maintaining cultural sensitivity and flexibility to shift meeting times to collaborate in multiple time zones.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with Weights and Biases MLOps tool suite or similar

• Experience with Windows Desktop Application development in C# or C++.

• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code

• Awareness of the legal and IP protection issues associated with ML and AI

• Formulating strategy and roadmaps for AI solutions to solve business objectives

• Knowledge in IC Test domain, especially with one or more Teradyne platforms, would be a bonus

Education

• BS Computer Science or BS Computer Engineering or related field OR equivalent work experience
