Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Factory Applications Engineer at Teradyne you will be part of a diverse and exciting role that require a special kind of person. You’ll have the opportunity to experience a range of activities, which can vary week to week, and sometimes even day-to-day!
Some of these unique activities include:
Creating innovative techniques for testing and characterizing leading edge Integrated circuits such as Mobile Applications Processors, Mobile RF Transceivers, Millimeter Wave IC's, Power Management IC's, Automotive
Designing sophisticated analog and digital test interfaces to implement switching, filtering, signal conversion, and other functions
Writing and debugging test programs in C/Visual Basic to solve customer test problems for mixed-signal, logic and memory applications
Creating demonstration development programs and presentations
Identifying trends in customer IC development to help guide the development of new Teradyne ATE instrumentation
Reproducing customer problems for software/hardware engineering to correct, and providing interim solutions to keep customer production flowing
Developing competitive benchmarks to further differentiate Teradyne from the competition
Traveling to customer sites to support Design Engineers, Test Engineers, Product Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers (travel requirements may be 25% or greater)
Working with Sales and Marketing to develop sales and support strategies
Attending trade shows as a technical representative
Writing and presenting technical papers at our professional conference, the Teradyne Users Group
Teaching technical classes and seminars to customers and Teradyne engineers
Managing projects and overseeing the delivery of critical project milestone

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:
Qualified applicants must have a
Minimum BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
Proficiency in one or more programming languages
C+Desire to work with customers and field applications group to solve testing challenges
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to work independently, in a dynamic and challenging workplace
Travel required, both domestically & internationally up to 25%
