Teradyne Senior Hardware Verification Engineer in North Reading, Massachusetts

The Hardware Verification Team within the Integrated Systems Test Group is responsible for verifying the system components meet design specifications prior to customer shipment. Our products include the HDD, SSD and SLT test platforms and we are looking for a motivated and energetic senior hardware verification/test development engineer to join us in a fast paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment!

Responsibilities:

  • Participating on the extended design team as the authority on HW test methodology

  • Developing test processes for new products including: the test strategy, test PCBA and fixture design, test software development, deployment, training, and support

  • Defect investigation & characterization using statistical process control

  • Develop system level self-diagnostics for our testers including collecting requirements, architecting solutions, verifying the features, and deploying to internal and external customers

  • Prototype bring up and facilitating design verification activities

  • Collaboration with a global workforce which includes travel to production sites as required to support our test processes

    Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with hardware verification and test development during NPI

  • Proficient in C/C+, C#, Java, Python programming languages

  • Programming experience with Win Forms, WPF and .NET

  • Experience with communication protocols including:

  • SPI, UART, I2C, JTAG, USB, PCIE and Ethernet

  • Experience with MAP SLT, HDD and SSD testing methodology

  • Linux basics and working knowledge of embedded systems and associated programming

  • Ability to work on multi-discipline teams as well as work independently

  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    Experience and Education:

  • BS or higher degree in EE or related field

  • 12+ year industry experience
