The TDE Team is responsible for developing the production test strategy, test equipment, test software, and procedures for new product introductions. We are looking for a Test Development Engineer responsible for the following:
Be an active member of the extended design team by providing information and ideas on optimum test strategies for new products.
Develop test processes for new products including: the test strategy, interface design, ATE, test software, fixturing, software tools, documentation, training and process control capabilities.
Integrate new processes into production. Serve as a technical resource for factory operations.
Investigate and develop more efficient test processes utilizing metrics to indicate results. Go beyond individual defect investigation & characterization to understanding defect trends in order to influence testing directions.
Test Development plays a key role in the product development processes. The variety of activities in these processes involves a diversity of skills that you won't find in any other entry-level opportunity. You will be involved in customer situations that require tact and a sensitivity to the economics of the industry, customer problems, and cultural issues of our worldwide business. You will be asked to stay on top of the rapid changes in technology, assess the ramifications of these changes, advocate solutions, and advise on new product development. The desire to work in teams and address groups with your public speaking skills will be encouraged and fostered.
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:
Qualified applicant must have or be working towards;
A BS in EE or Electromechanical Engineering
0-5 year experience
Relevant coop experience would be considered
Working knowledge of:
C/C++ C# .Lab View / Lab Windows CVI / Agilent VEE .NET framework
