Teradyne Manufacturing Engineer in Penang, Malaysia

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Applicant will work on all manufacturing activities at Teradyne's Contract Manufacturers in Penang.

  • Applicant will also work with the Supply Line Management organization in the qualification of new suppliers, new products, etc.

  • Applicant will work closely with the New Product teams on the seamless transition from New Product status to High Volume Manufacturing.

  • Applicant will require minimal supervision, will be an effective communicator, and must adapt quickly to changing priorities.

  • Applicant will be asked to enforce strict process control over all areas of Mfg.

  • Establishes robust, and reproducible process parameters and process controls.

  • Leads team in selecting, implementing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing equipment and procedures for assigned product(s).

  • Knowledge of DFM processes, reporting and tools.

  • Review weekly yield reports and drive items for RCCA and closure with CM Quality teams.

  • Create/review ECOs, Deviations, MCOs, and RCOs.

    Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

  • Applicant must have Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years experience or Master's degree and 5-10 years experience.

  • Experience must be in a PCBA manufacturing environment.

  • Must be familiar with IPC standards and certification.

  • Must be familiar with PTH, SMT, ROHS processes.

  • Must be familiar with Aqueous cleaning processes and flux chemistries.

  • Must be willing to travel.

  • Must have demonstrated strength in solder related processes.

  • Flux chemistry interactions, no cleans, intermetallic bond, ion chromatography, etc.

  • Experience with reflow profiling and thermal margins.

  • Failure analysis experience required.

  • Familiarity with equipment maintenance (pick and place, mini wave, inline cleaner, etc. preferred.
