Teradyne Product Support Engineer in Penang, Malaysia

Organization & Role

Teradyne Memory BU product support team is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven product support engineer to provide world class support to the current and future generations of Teradyne Semiconductor Memory Test Products.

Responsibilities

  • Manages customer requests, product escalations, and service emergencies

  • Provide product support to new installations, and all active installed base

  • Support Engineering with customer floor plan and first site kit development

  • Create and provide Product Training Documents and Procedures to field team

  • Coordinate and support PUP and PIP activities at international sites as needed

  • Coordinate RMA repair activities and prioritization based on customer needs

  • Participate in new product definition and coordinate EHS requirements between Engineering and Customers

  • Coordinate field customer quality and installation issue feedback

  • Support process or quality related issues including periodical manufacturing process audit

  • Leading the collection, summary, analysis, corrective actions, and reporting of data in alignment with Engineering, Operations, and Sales.

  • Create customer facing failure analysis or failure investigation progress reports

  • Travel for training, support, and installation activities worldwide

  • Other product support and customer support assignments as required

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-10 years of product support/service experience in the semiconductor test industry

  • Strong communication, organizational and multi-tasking ability

  • Ability to schedule and manage small projects is desired.

  • Experience in complex Electro-Mechanical assembly with mechanical and electrical knowledge would be strong advantage

  • Flexible to work at multiple time zones and able to travel as needed

  • Worldwide travel 520%, meeting customers, and resolve problems at customer sites

Education

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics or equivalent courses
