Teradyne Customer Production Support Engineer in UEP Subang Jaya, Malaysia

Role : Production Support Engineer

Organization : Production Support and Interface Solutions (PSI)

Location : Selangor


  1. Provides Production Support (hardware and software) activities to Teradyne’s customers in Malaysia. This includes supporting test equipment troubleshooting and break-fixing, analyzing problems, and recommending solutions on Teradyne ATE platforms to optimize customer production throughput.

  2. Applies electrical engineering principles to troubleshoot and solve problems on the test instrument.

  3. Supports test program release-to-production activities at the customer site.

  4. Interfaces with various support teams within Teradyne to deliver on Teradyne's commitment to our customers.

  5. Provides remote technical support.

  6. Provides formal and on-the-job training to the customers.

  7. Provides active management of the assigned accounts.

  8. Escalates service issue and takes ownership of the issues until it is resolved.

    Basic Qualifications & Skills

  9. Self-starter and good team player with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  10. Able to work independently.

  11. 3 to 4 years of experience in test or product support engineering in the semiconductor industry.

  12. Experience with C, C++, or Visual Basic.

  13. Prior experience on the Teradyne ATE platform or any other ATE platform is a plus.

  14. Willing to travel within and out of the country.

  15. Good written and verbal communication skills in English.


  16. Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
